Horizons Stewardship invited churches of all sizes and denominations to complete a short survey for the purpose of providing a quick snapshot of change in giving and worship attendance for January – October 2021 compared with the same period in 2020. 427 churches completed the survey. The results of which form this report which is segmented by annual giving and geographic region.
Overall, 44% of churches reported that giving declined and 65% saw worship attendance decline in the first nine months of 2021 as compared to the same period in 2020. Larger churches tended to fare better than smaller churches in giving and worship attendance.
